 About the Program...

The Arizona Department of Revenue has issued guidelines for a $ 40 0 * tax credit to be applied against the individual's State of Arizona income taxes (A.R.S. 43-1089.01).  A tax credit is better than a tax deduction (which  only  partially  reduces your tax) because it is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability.  Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific tax status.


THE TAX CREDIT IS AVAILABLE TO ALL TAXPAYERS WHETHER THEY HAVE CHILDREN IN SCHOOL OR NOT.

Your Best Deal for You!

Contributions  to  public  schools  have always been tax deductible.  But the new law  allows  you  a  tax credit   which  is subtracted from the amount of tax liability - you actually owe the state less! (And can personally assist your local  school  students at the same time).

Contributions that are eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to the school.  Tax credit funds are not subject to the state's revenue control limit which prevents the school from spending more than a fixed amount for programs.  Increased funding through your contribution will help to maintain and/or enhance extracurricular activities for students.

If  you  want  to  support one or more of the programs listed on the response card, simply make a donation to the school.  EASY!  Mail or deliver your check or money  order to  the  school with your completed  response  card.   You will receive a  receipt verifying  that  you  have  contributed  to  an  eligible extracurricular  activity.  Then you simply claim your tax credit of up to $ 400* on your tax form

Your donation  must  be  received  by  December 31st of each year to claim the tax credit for that year.  It can be any amount up to $ 400*. Your  contribution can make  a  big  difference in a young person's life.  These funds  give  us more  opportunities  to   involve our  students in   quality   extracurricular   activities. To claim the tax credit, taxpayers must contribute to an activity for which the school district requires a fee.  You may contribute to one of the categories listed below:

  • Athletics

Baseball
Basketball
Volleyball
Wrestling
Softball

  • After-School Activities
  • Field Trips
